ABSTRACT: This study examines the benefits of early childhood education in fostering appreciation for different cuisines among young children. Introducing children to diverse cuisines early can promote cultural appreciation and healthy eating habits. Objectives included evaluating children's appreciation for different cuisines, identifying effective educational practices, and assessing the long-term impacts of early cuisine appreciation education. A survey design was utilized for its capacity to gather comprehensive data. Purposive sampling was used to select 200 children from preschools in Adamawa State, Nigeria. Findings indicated that children exposed to cuisine appreciation education demonstrated greater acceptance and enjoyment of diverse foods. Effective practices included interactive lessons on global cuisines, hands-on cooking activities with diverse ingredients, and exposure to cultural food festivals. The study recommended integrating cuisine appreciation education into early childhood curricula to promote cultural appreciation and healthy eating habits from an early age.
