ABSTRACT: This study examines the benefits of early childhood education in fostering culinary skills among young children. Introducing culinary education early can promote healthy eating habits and life skills development. Objectives included evaluating children's culinary skills development, identifying effective educational practices, and assessing the long-term impacts of early culinary education. A survey design was utilized for its capacity to gather comprehensive data. Purposive sampling was used to select 200 children from preschools in Kaduna State, Nigeria. Findings indicated that children exposed to culinary education demonstrated improved culinary skills and knowledge of healthy eating. Effective practices included interactive cooking lessons, hands-on food preparation activities, and exposure to diverse cuisines. The study recommended integrating culinary education into early childhood curricula to promote healthy eating habits and life skills development from an early age.
