ABSTRACT: This research investigates the impact of early childhood education on young children's understanding of food justice. Educating children about food justice early can promote equity and access to healthy food options. Objectives included evaluating children's knowledge of food justice, identifying effective educational practices, and assessing the long-term benefits of early food justice education. A survey design was chosen for its effectiveness in gathering broad data. Purposive sampling was employed to select 180 children from preschools in Cross River State, Nigeria. Findings revealed that children exposed to food justice education demonstrated a better understanding of food equity and access issues. Effective practices included interactive lessons on food justice, hands-on activities related to food access, and discussions on food inequality. The study recommended incorporating food justice education into early childhood programs to promote equity and access to healthy food options from an early age.
