ABSTRACT: This study examines the influence of early childhood education on community gardening among young children. Introducing community gardening early can foster a sense of community and environmental stewardship. Objectives included evaluating children's participation in community gardening, identifying effective educational practices, and assessing the long-term impacts of early community gardening education. A survey design was utilized for its ability to gather comprehensive data. Purposive sampling was employed to select 200 children from preschools in Ebonyi State, Nigeria. Findings indicated that children exposed to community gardening education demonstrated greater participation and understanding of community gardening benefits. Effective practices included interactive lessons on gardening, hands-on gardening projects, and community involvement in local gardens. The study recommended integrating community gardening education into early childhood programs to foster a sense of community and environmental stewardship from an early age.
