ABSTRACT: This study explores the influence of early childhood education on food security awareness among young children. Early education on food security can lead to a more informed and proactive generation. The objectives were to assess children's understanding of food security, identify effective educational practices, and evaluate the long-term impacts of early food security education. A survey design was utilized for its ability to gather comprehensive data. Purposive sampling was employed to select 200 children from preschools in Kano State, Nigeria. Findings indicated that children exposed to food security education demonstrated a greater awareness and understanding of food security issues. Effective practices included interactive lessons, hands-on activities, and community involvement in food security projects. The study recommended integrating food security education into early childhood programs to foster a generation that is more aware and proactive about food security issues.
