ABSTRACT: This research explores the role of early childhood education in fostering an interest in green technologies among young children. Early exposure to green technologies can inspire future innovations. Objectives were to assess children's understanding of green technologies, identify effective educational practices, and evaluate the long-term benefits of early green technology education. A survey design was chosen for its capacity to gather comprehensive data. Purposive sampling was used to select 200 children from preschools in Plateau State, Nigeria. Findings indicated that children exposed to green technology education demonstrated a greater interest and understanding of sustainable technologies. Activities such as interactive lessons on green innovations, hands-on experiments, and visits to green technology sites were particularly effective. The study recommended incorporating green technology education into early childhood curricula to inspire interest in sustainable technologies from an early age.
