ABSTRACT: This research investigates the influence of early childhood education on water conservation practices among young children. Early education on water conservation can lead to sustainable water usage habits. Objectives were to assess children's understanding of water conservation, identify effective educational practices, and evaluate the long-term impacts of early water conservation education. A survey design was chosen for its ability to gather detailed data. Purposive sampling was employed to select 200 children from preschools in Bauchi State, Nigeria. Findings indicated that children exposed to water conservation education demonstrated better understanding and practice of conserving water. Activities such as interactive lessons on water conservation, hands-on experiments, and community water conservation projects were particularly effective. The study recommended integrating water conservation education into early childhood programs to promote sustainable water usage habits from an early age.
