ABSTRACT: This study explores the impact of early childhood education on young children's understanding of renewable energy. Introducing renewable energy concepts early can foster a generation of environmentally conscious individuals. Objectives included evaluating children's knowledge of renewable energy, identifying effective educational practices, and assessing the long-term benefits of early renewable energy education. A survey design was utilized for its effectiveness in collecting broad data. Purposive sampling was employed to select 180 children from preschools in Ondo State, Nigeria. Findings revealed that children exposed to renewable energy education demonstrated a greater understanding of different types of renewable energy and their benefits. Activities such as interactive lessons on solar and wind energy, hands-on experiments, and field trips to renewable energy sites were particularly effective. The study recommended incorporating renewable energy education into early childhood curricula to enhance understanding and appreciation of renewable energy from an early age.
