ABSTRACT: This research explores the influence of early childhood education on climate change awareness among young children. Objectives include evaluating children's awareness of climate change, identifying effective educational practices, and assessing the long-term benefits of early climate education. A survey design was chosen for its ability to collect comprehensive data. Purposive sampling was used to select 200 children from preschools in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Findings indicated that children exposed to climate change education demonstrated better awareness and understanding of climate issues. Effective practices included interactive lessons on climate change, climate-related projects, and discussions on the impact of climate change. The study recommended integrating climate change education into early childhood curricula to enhance climate awareness from an early age.
