ABSTRACT: This study examines the role of early childhood education in teaching cultural empathy among young children. Objectives include evaluating children's levels of cultural empathy, identifying effective educational practices, and assessing the long-term benefits of early empathy education. A survey design was chosen for its effectiveness in collecting detailed data. Purposive sampling was employed to select 180 children from preschools in Kwara State, Nigeria. Findings revealed that children exposed to cultural empathy education demonstrated higher levels of empathy towards different cultures. Activities such as role-playing, storytelling from diverse perspectives, and interactive cultural exchanges were particularly effective. The study recommended integrating cultural empathy education into early childhood programs to foster empathy and understanding from an early age.
