ABSTRACT: This study investigates the role of early childhood education in fostering diplomacy among young children. The objectives are to evaluate the understanding of diplomatic concepts, identify effective educational practices that promote diplomacy, and assess the long-term benefits of early diplomatic education. A survey design was utilized due to its capacity to collect detailed information from a wide range of participants. Purposive sampling was used to select 180 children from preschools in Abuja, Nigeria. Findings revealed that children who participated in diplomacy-focused activities showed enhanced diplomatic skills, with practices such as role-playing international scenarios, teaching respectful communication, and promoting teamwork being particularly effective. It was recommended that early childhood education programs integrate these activities to cultivate diplomatic skills from an early age.
