ABSTRACT: This study examined the role of early childhood education in conflict resolution among young children. Objectives included assessing children's conflict resolution skills, identifying effective educational practices, and evaluating the long-term benefits of early conflict resolution education. A survey design was employed due to its ability to collect detailed data from a diverse population. Purposive sampling was used to select 220 children from preschools in Borno State, Nigeria. Findings revealed that children who received conflict resolution education demonstrated better skills in resolving conflicts peacefully, with activities like role-playing, conflict resolution workshops, and discussions on empathy and cooperation being particularly effective. The study recommended integrating conflict resolution education into early childhood programs to develop essential conflict resolution skills from an early age.
