ABSTRACT: The benefits of early childhood education in promoting language diversity were investigated to understand how early educational interventions support multilingualism. Objectives were to evaluate children's language skills, identify effective educational practices, and assess the long-term benefits of early language education. A survey design was chosen for its ability to collect comprehensive data from diverse participants. Purposive sampling was used to select 200 children from preschools in Enugu State, Nigeria. Findings indicated that children exposed to multilingual education programs demonstrated better language skills and appreciation for language diversity, with activities like bilingual storytimes, language exchange programs, and inclusion of multiple languages in daily routines being particularly effective. The study recommended integrating language diversity education into early childhood curricula to promote multilingualism from an early age.
