ABSTRACT: The impact of early childhood education on cultural awareness was explored to understand how early educational experiences promote understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures. Objectives were to evaluate the level of cultural awareness, identify effective educational practices, and assess the long-term benefits of cultural education. A survey design was chosen for its ability to gather broad data efficiently. Purposive sampling was used to select 200 children from preschools in Kwara State, Nigeria. Findings revealed that children exposed to multicultural curricula exhibited higher cultural awareness and appreciation, with activities like cultural exchange programs, diverse representation in learning materials, and celebrations of cultural events being particularly effective. The study recommended integrating cultural education into early childhood curricula to foster cultural awareness from an early age.
