ABSTRACT: The benefits of early childhood education in fostering online etiquette were investigated to understand how early educational interventions can promote respectful online behavior. Objectives were to evaluate children's understanding of online etiquette, identify effective educational practices, and assess the long-term benefits of early etiquette education. A survey design was chosen for its efficiency in gathering broad data. Purposive sampling was used to select 200 children from preschools in Anambra State, Nigeria. Findings indicated that children exposed to online etiquette education demonstrated better online behavior, with activities like guided digital interactions, discussions on online manners, and role-playing scenarios being particularly effective. The study recommended integrating online etiquette education into early childhood curricula to foster respectful online communication from an early age.
