ABSTRACT: The study investigated the role of early childhood education in promoting digital safety among young children. Objectives were to assess digital safety awareness, identify effective educational practices, and evaluate the long-term benefits of early digital safety education. A survey design was employed due to its efficiency in collecting diverse data. Purposive sampling was used to select 180 children from preschools in Ekiti State, Nigeria. Findings showed that children exposed to digital safety education demonstrated better online safety practices, with interactive lessons, parental guidance, and supervised digital activities being particularly effective. The study recommended integrating digital safety education into early childhood curricula to promote safe online behavior from an early age.
