ABSTRACT: The study investigated the impact of early childhood education on sleep habits among young children. The objectives were to assess the quality of sleep among children attending early education programs, identify educational practices that promote healthy sleep habits, and evaluate the long-term effects of these practices. A survey design was chosen for its ability to collect extensive data from a broad demographic. Purposive sampling was used to select 180 children from preschools in Osun State, Nigeria. Findings revealed that children who participated in early childhood education programs had better sleep habits, characterized by regular sleep schedules and improved sleep quality. Practices such as establishing bedtime routines, educating about the importance of sleep, and creating a conducive sleep environment were particularly effective. The study recommended integrating sleep education into early childhood curricula to promote healthy sleep habits from an early age.
