ABSTRACT: This research focused on the influence of early childhood education on public speaking skills among young children. The objectives were to evaluate the development of public speaking skills, identify educational practices that enhance these skills, and measure the long-term effects of early public speaking training. A survey design was selected due to its efficiency in gathering data from diverse participants. Purposive sampling was used to select 250 children from preschools in Delta State, Nigeria. Findings indicated that children involved in early education programs that included public speaking components exhibited greater confidence and competence in speaking before an audience. Activities such as show-and-tell, group presentations, and storytelling were particularly effective. The study recommended that early childhood education curricula incorporate public speaking opportunities to develop these essential skills from a young age.
