ABSTRACT: This study explores the benefits of early childhood education (ECE) in fostering positive sibling relationships among young children, crucial for their social and emotional development within the family context. The objectives are to (1) assess improvements in sibling interactions and cooperation, (2) evaluate the impact of ECE on sibling support and empathy, and (3) examine changes in sibling bonding influenced by ECE participation. A survey design is justified to capture quantitative data on sibling relationships and qualitative insights into family dynamics. A purposive sample of 140 children with siblings from preschools in Akwa Ibom State was selected. The case study focuses on preschools known for their sibling relationship-building initiatives. Findings indicated enhanced sibling interactions, increased empathy among siblings, and strengthened sibling bonds due to ECE participation. Recommendations include incorporating activities that promote sibling relationships in ECE curricula and providing guidance to parents on nurturing positive sibling interactions at home.
