ABSTRACT: Early childhood education (ECE) plays a transformative role in shaping family dynamics and relationships, influencing children's development within the family unit. This study examines how ECE programs impact family dynamics among young children. The objectives are to (1) assess changes in family interactions and communication patterns, (2) evaluate the influence of ECE on parental roles and responsibilities, and (3) examine the overall family well-being influenced by ECE participation. A survey design is employed to gather comprehensive data on family dynamics and relationships. A purposive sample of 130 families with children from preschools in Delta State was selected. The case study focuses on preschools recognized for their positive impact on family dynamics. Findings revealed improved family interactions, enhanced communication within families, and positive changes in parental roles and responsibilities attributed to ECE participation. Recommendations include promoting family-centered approaches in ECE curricula, providing parent education programs, and supporting educators in fostering positive family dynamics.
