ABSTRACT: The role of early childhood education in fostering creativity is critical for understanding how early educational experiences shape children's creative thinking and problem-solving abilities. This study explores how early childhood education programs influence the development of creativity in young children. The objectives are to (1) assess improvements in children's creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, (2) evaluate the integration of creativity-enhancing activities in early childhood education curricula, and (3) examine changes in children's ability to generate original ideas. A survey design is employed to gather comprehensive data on the role of early childhood education in fostering creativity. A purposive sample of 120 children  from preschools in Lagos State was used. The case study focuses on a preschool renowned for its emphasis on creativity-enhancing activities. Findings revealed significant improvements in children's creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, the effectiveness of creativity-enhancing activities, and positive changes in children's ability to generate original ideas. Recommendations included integrating creativity-enhancing activities into early childhood curricula and providing ongoing professional development for educators to support children's creative development.
