ABSTRACT: The impact of early childhood education on attention span is essential for understanding how early educational experiences shape children's ability to focus and sustain attention. This study explores how early childhood education programs influence attention span development among young children. The objectives are to (1) assess improvements in children's ability to concentrate on tasks, (2) evaluate the integration of attention-enhancing activities in early childhood education curricula, and (3) examine changes in children's engagement and on-task behavior. A survey design is employed to gather comprehensive data on the impact of early childhood education on attention span. A purposive sample of 120 children from preschools in Imo State was used. The case study focuses on a preschool renowned for its attention-enhancing activities. Findings revealed significant improvements in children's ability to concentrate on tasks, the effectiveness of attention-enhancing activities, and positive changes in children's engagement and on-task behavior. Recommendations included integrating attention-enhancing activities into early childhood curricula and providing ongoing professional development for educators to support children's attention span development.
