ABSTRACT: The role of early childhood education in visual perception development is crucial for understanding how early educational experiences shape children's ability to interpret and understand visual information. This study examines how early childhood education programs influence visual perception development. The objectives are to (1) assess improvements in children's visual discrimination and recognition abilities, (2) evaluate the integration of visual perception activities in early childhood education curricula, and (3) examine changes in children's ability to process and respond to visual stimuli. A survey design is employed to gather comprehensive data on the role of early childhood education in visual perception development. A purposive sample of 120 children  from preschools in Ondo State was used. The case study focuses on a preschool renowned for its visual perception development program. Findings revealed significant improvements in children's visual discrimination and recognition abilities, the effectiveness of visual perception activities, and positive changes in children's ability to process and respond to visual stimuli. Recommendations included integrating visual perception activities into early childhood curricula and providing ongoing professional development for educators to enhance children's visual perception.
