ABSTRACT: The benefits of early childhood education on gross motor skills are crucial for understanding how early educational experiences shape children's physical development and coordination. This study examines how early childhood education programs influence the development of gross motor skills. The objectives are to (1) assess improvements in children's balance and coordination, (2) evaluate the integration of gross motor skill activities in early childhood education curricula, and (3) examine changes in children's physical activity levels and confidence. A survey design is justified as it enables comprehensive data collection on the benefits of early childhood education on gross motor skills. A purposive sample of 130 children from preschools in Cross River State was used. The case study focuses on a preschool known for its gross motor skill development program. Findings indicated significant improvements in children's balance and coordination, the effectiveness of gross motor skill activities, and positive changes in children's physical activity levels and confidence. Recommendations included integrating gross motor skill activities into early childhood curricula and providing ongoing professional development for educators to support children's gross motor skills development.
