ABSTRACT: The role of early childhood education in supporting mental health is critical for fostering well-being and resilience in young children. This study investigates how early childhood education programs contribute to the mental health and well-being of young children. The objectives are to (1) assess improvements in children's mental health and well-being, (2) evaluate the integration of mental health support activities in early childhood education curricula, and (3) examine changes in children's behavior and emotional resilience. A survey design is employed to collect comprehensive data on the impacts of early childhood education on mental health. A purposive sample of 100 children  from preschools in Lagos State was used. The case study focuses on a preschool known for its mental health support programs. Findings revealed significant improvements in children's mental health and well-being, the effectiveness of mental health support activities, and positive changes in children's behavior and emotional resilience. Recommendations included embedding mental health support activities into early childhood curricula and providing ongoing professional development for educators to foster children's mental health and well-being.
