ABSTRACT: The role of early childhood education in promoting physical activity is essential for understanding how early educational programs can encourage healthy physical habits. This study investigates how early childhood education programs contribute to promoting physical activity among young children. The objectives are to (1) assess increases in children's physical activity levels, (2) evaluate the integration of physical activity into early childhood education curricula, and (3) examine changes in children's physical health and development. A survey design is employed to gather comprehensive data on the impacts of early childhood education on physical activity. A purposive sample of 120 children  from preschools in Akwa Ibom State was used. The case study focuses on a preschool known for its emphasis on physical education. Findings revealed significant increases in children's physical activity levels, the effectiveness of integrating physical activity into the curriculum, and positive changes in children's physical health and development. Recommendations included embedding regular physical activities into early childhood curricula and training educators to promote physical activity as part of daily routines.
