ABSTRACT: The impact of early childhood education on emotional intelligence is essential for understanding how early education shapes children's ability to recognize, understand, and manage their emotions and those of others. This study examines how early childhood education programs influence the development of emotional intelligence. The objectives are to (1) assess improvements in children's emotional awareness and management, (2) evaluate the integration of emotional intelligence activities in early childhood education curricula, and (3) examine changes in peer interactions and social skills. A survey design is employed to systematically collect data on educational impacts on emotional intelligence. A purposive sample of 100 children aged 4-6 years from preschools in Ogun State was used. The case study focuses on a preschool known for its emotional intelligence curriculum. Findings revealed significant improvements in children's emotional awareness and management, the effectiveness of emotional intelligence activities, and positive changes in peer interactions and social skills. Recommendations included embedding emotional intelligence activities into early childhood curricula and providing ongoing teacher training to foster children's emotional development.
