ABSTRACT: Exploring the role of early childhood education in climate change adaptation aims to examine how education can foster resilience and proactive responses to climate challenges from an early age. This study investigates how early childhood education programs contribute to climate change adaptation. The objectives are to (1) assess improvements in children's understanding of climate change impacts and adaptation strategies, (2) evaluate the integration of climate change adaptation activities in early childhood education curricula, and (3) examine changes in community attitudes towards environmental sustainability. A survey design is chosen to systematically collect data on educational impacts on climate change adaptation. A purposive sample of 120 children aged 4-6 years, from climate-vulnerable communities in Bauchi State, ensures relevant experiences. The case study focuses on an early childhood education center known for its environmental sustainability initiatives. Findings indicated significant improvements in children's understanding of climate change impacts and adaptation strategies, effectiveness of climate change adaptation activities, and positive changes in community attitudes towards environmental sustainability. Recommendations include integrating climate change adaptation education into early childhood curricula and collaborating with environmental organizations and local authorities to implement climate-resilient practices and education initiatives.
