ABSTRACT: Exploring the benefits of early childhood education in supporting aging populations aims to examine how education can contribute to understanding and addressing the needs of older adults. This study investigates how early childhood education programs support aging populations. The objectives are to (1) assess improvements in children's understanding of aging and intergenerational relationships, (2) evaluate the integration of aging population support activities in early childhood education curricula, and (3) examine changes in community attitudes towards aging and elderly care. A survey design is employed to gather comprehensive data on educational impacts on aging population support. A purposive sample of 120 children aged 4-6 years, from communities with significant elderly populations in Benue State, ensures relevant experiences. The case study focuses on an early childhood education center known for its intergenerational education initiatives. Findings indicated significant improvements in children's understanding of aging and intergenerational relationships, effectiveness of aging population support activities, and positive changes in community attitudes towards aging. Recommendations include integrating aging population support education into early childhood curricula and fostering intergenerational activities to promote empathy and respect towards older adults.
