ABSTRACT: Investigating the benefits of early childhood education in promoting digital literacy is essential for preparing children for the digital age. This study aimed to evaluate how early childhood education programs influence children's digital literacy skills. The objectives were to (1) assess improvements in children's digital skills and knowledge, (2) evaluate the integration of digital literacy activities in the curriculum, and (3) examine changes in children's confidence and competence in using digital technologies. A survey design was employed to gather comprehensive data from participants, providing a broad assessment of the topic. A purposive sample of 100 children aged 4-6 years, engaged in digital literacy education programs, was selected to ensure relevant experiences. The case study focused on an early childhood education center in Plateau State, known for its digital literacy initiatives. Findings indicated significant improvements in children's digital skills and knowledge, the effectiveness of digital literacy activities, and positive changes in confidence and competence in using digital technologies. The study recommended integrating digital literacy education into early childhood curricula and providing access to age-appropriate digital resources for children and educators.
