ABSTRACT: Exploring the impact of early childhood education on children's rights awareness is essential for promoting respect for children's rights from a young age. This study aimed to evaluate how early childhood education programs influence children's understanding of their rights. The objectives were to (1) assess children's knowledge of their rights, (2) evaluate the integration of children's rights education into the curriculum, and (3) examine changes in children's attitudes towards respecting their own and others' rights. A survey design was employed to gather comprehensive data from participants, allowing for a broad assessment of the topic. A purposive sample of 120 children aged 4-6 years, enrolled in early childhood education programs, was selected to ensure relevant experiences. The case study focused on an early childhood education center in Ondo State, known for its emphasis on children's rights education. Findings indicated significant improvements in children's knowledge of their rights, effective integration of children's rights education into the curriculum, and positive changes in attitudes towards respecting rights. The study recommended enhancing the inclusion of children's rights education in early childhood curricula and providing training for educators to effectively deliver these programs.
