ABSTRACT: Assessing the impact of early childhood education on parental involvement in school governance is essential for understanding the broader benefits of early education. This study aimed to evaluate how early childhood education influences parents' engagement in school governance activities. The objectives were to (1) assess the level of parental involvement in decision-making processes, (2) evaluate the influence of early education programs on parents' understanding of school policies, and (3) examine the overall impact on school-community relationships. A survey design was employed to gather comprehensive data from participants. A purposive sample of 150 parents with children aged 3-6 years, enrolled in early childhood education programs, was selected from an education center in Lagos State. Findings indicated significant increases in parental involvement in decision-making, improved understanding of school policies, and strengthened school-community relationships. The study recommended enhancing communication channels between schools and parents and providing workshops to educate parents on governance processes.
