ABSTRACT: Investigating the role of early childhood education in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) is vital for developing effective educational strategies. This study aimed to explore how early childhood education programs can support the development of children with ASD. The objectives were to (1) assess improvements in social interactions, (2) evaluate the enhancement of communication skills, and (3) examine the role of specialized curricula in supporting cognitive development. A survey design was chosen to collect comprehensive data from participants. A purposive sample of 100 children aged 3-6 years, diagnosed with ASD, was selected from an early childhood education center in Plateau State. Findings revealed significant improvements in social interactions, enhanced communication skills, and cognitive development, facilitated by specialized curricula. The study recommended increasing support for early childhood education programs tailored for children with ASD and providing specialized training for educators.
