ABSTRACT: This study examined the Role of Early Childhood Education in Promoting Cultural Heritage Conservation. The objectives of this study were to: (1) explore the role of early childhood education (ECE) in promoting awareness and appreciation of cultural heritage among young children, (2) assess the effectiveness of cultural education activities in preserving and transmitting cultural traditions, and (3) determine the long-term impacts of cultural heritage education on cultural preservation and community identity. A survey research design was justified to gather comprehensive data from educators, parents, and cultural heritage experts about their experiences with cultural heritage education in ECE settings. A sample size of 170 participants, including preschool teachers, parents, and cultural preservationists, was selected using purposive sampling to ensure representation from diverse cultural backgrounds in Delta State, Nigeria. The case study was conducted in early childhood education centers known for their commitment to promoting cultural diversity and heritage conservation. Findings revealed that ECE programs significantly enhanced children's awareness and appreciation of cultural heritage, fostering pride in cultural identity and promoting intergenerational transmission of traditions. It is recommended that early childhood education centers continue to integrate cultural heritage education into their curricula, collaborate with local cultural institutions for educational programs, and engage families in cultural celebrations and activities to preserve cultural heritage and strengthen community identity.
