ABSTRACT: This study examined the influence of Early Childhood Education in Enhancing Emotional Intelligence. The objectives of this study were to: (1) examine the influence of early childhood education (ECE) programs on enhancing emotional intelligence among young children, (2) assess the effectiveness of emotional literacy activities in promoting self-awareness and social skills, and (3) determine the long-term effects of emotional intelligence education on personal development and well-being. A survey research design was chosen to gather comprehensive data from educators, parents, and child psychologists about their experiences with emotional intelligence education in ECE settings. A sample size of 160 participants, including preschool teachers, parents, and mental health professionals, was selected using purposive sampling to ensure diversity in socio-economic backgrounds in Ebonyi State, Nigeria. The case study was conducted in early childhood education centers known for their supportive and emotionally nurturing environments. Findings indicated that ECE programs significantly enhanced children's emotional intelligence, improving their ability to recognize and regulate emotions, and fostering positive social interactions. It is recommended that early childhood education centers continue to prioritize emotional intelligence education, provide training for educators in emotional literacy practices, and collaborate with mental health professionals to support children's emotional development effectively.
