ABSTRACT: This study Investigated the Role of Early Childhood Education in Building Interpersonal Skills. The objectives of this study were to: (1) evaluate the role of early childhood education (ECE) in fostering interpersonal skills among young children, (2) assess the impact of social interaction activities on peer relationships and conflict resolution, and (3) determine the long-term benefits of interpersonal skills development on social and emotional well-being. A survey design was chosen to gather comprehensive data from educators, parents, and children about their experiences with interpersonal skills development in ECE settings. A sample size of 160 participants, including preschool teachers, parents, and children aged 4-6, was selected using purposive sampling. The case study was conducted in early childhood education centers in Ebonyi State, Nigeria, known for their community-oriented education approaches. Findings revealed that ECE programs significantly enhanced children's interpersonal skills, improving peer relationships and conflict resolution abilities. It was recommended that early childhood education centers prioritize social interaction activities and provide educators with training on fostering interpersonal skills in young children.
