ABSTRACT: This study investigated the Benefits of Early Childhood Debate Programs on Critical Thinking. The objectives of this study were to: (1) evaluate the impact of early childhood debate programs on developing critical thinking skills among young children, (2) assess the effectiveness of debate activities in enhancing logical reasoning and communication skills, and (3) determine the long-term benefits of debate education on academic success. A survey design was employed to collect detailed data from educators, parents, and children about their experiences with debate programs in early childhood education (ECE) settings. A sample size of 150 participants, including preschool teachers, parents, and children aged 4-6, was selected using purposive sampling. The case study was conducted in ECE centers in Anambra State, Nigeria, known for their emphasis on extracurricular activities and academic excellence. Findings indicated that early childhood debate programs significantly improved children's critical thinking, logical reasoning, and communication skills. It was recommended that ECE centers integrate debate activities into their curricula and provide training for educators to effectively facilitate these skills.
