ABSTRACT: This study assessed the Impact of Early Childhood Education on Sustainable Agriculture Practices. The objectives of this study were to: (1) evaluate the role of early childhood education (ECE) in promoting awareness of sustainable agriculture practices among young children, (2) assess the effectiveness of environmental education activities in fostering a sense of environmental stewardship, and (3) determine the long-term benefits of sustainability education on ecological literacy. A survey design was employed to gather comprehensive data from educators, parents, and children about their experiences with sustainability education in ECE settings. A sample size of 170 participants, including preschool teachers, parents, and children aged 4-6, was selected using purposive sampling. The case study was conducted in early childhood education centers in Imo State, Nigeria, known for its agricultural heritage and focus on environmental education. Findings revealed that ECE programs significantly promoted awareness of sustainable agriculture practices and fostered environmental stewardship among children. It was recommended that early childhood education centers integrate sustainability education into their curricula and collaborate with local communities to implement eco-friendly practices.
