ABSTRACT: This study examined the Role of Early Childhood Education in Promoting Cultural Integration. The objectives of this study were to: (1) evaluate the role of early childhood education (ECE) in promoting cultural integration among young children, (2) assess the impact of multicultural education activities on fostering respect for diversity, and (3) determine the long-term benefits of cultural integration education on social harmony. A survey design was employed to gather comprehensive data from educators, parents, and children about their experiences with multicultural education in ECE settings. A sample size of 170 participants, including preschool teachers, parents, and children aged 4-6, was selected using purposive sampling. The case study was conducted in early childhood education centers in Rivers State, Nigeria, known for its diverse population and focus on cultural education. Findings revealed that ECE programs significantly promoted cultural integration and respect for diversity, contributing to social harmony. It was recommended that early childhood education centers integrate multicultural education into their curricula and provide training for educators to effectively teach these concepts.
