ABSTRACT: This study examined the Impact of Early Childhood Education on Community Development. The objectives of this study were to: (1) evaluate the role of early childhood education (ECE) in fostering community development, (2) assess the impact of ECE programs on social cohesion and community participation, and (3) determine the long-term benefits of ECE on local development initiatives. A survey design was justified for this research due to its ability to collect comprehensive data from a diverse group of community members, providing a broad perspective on the impact of ECE programs on community development. A sample size of 170 participants, including educators, parents, and community leaders, was selected using purposive sampling. The case study was conducted in early childhood education centers in Kaduna State, Nigeria, known for its community-focused education initiatives. Findings revealed that ECE programs significantly contributed to social cohesion and community participation, fostering local development. It was recommended that early childhood education centers engage more with community development initiatives and provide support for community involvement in education.
