ABSTRACT: This study Explored the Effects of Early Childhood Education on Spatial Awareness. The objectives of this study were to: (1) evaluate the impact of early childhood education (ECE) programs on children's spatial awareness, (2) assess the effectiveness of spatial learning activities in enhancing cognitive development, and (3) determine the long-term benefits of improved spatial awareness on academic performance. A survey design was chosen for this research to gather comprehensive data from educators, parents, and children about their experiences with spatial learning in ECE settings. A sample size of 150 participants, including preschool teachers, parents, and children aged 4-6, was selected using purposive sampling. The case study was conducted in early childhood education centers in Lagos State, Nigeria, known for its progressive education policies. Findings revealed that ECE programs significantly improved children's spatial awareness, leading to better cognitive development and academic performance in later years. It was recommended that early childhood education centers integrate spatial learning activities into their curricula and provide training for educators to effectively teach spatial awareness skills.
