ABSTRACT: This study Assessed the Benefits of Early Childhood Education on Cultural Preservation. The objectives of this study were to: (1) evaluate the role of early childhood education (ECE) in preserving cultural heritage, (2) assess the impact of cultural education activities on children's understanding of their cultural roots, and (3) determine the long-term benefits of cultural preservation education on identity formation. A survey design was chosen for this research to collect detailed data from educators, parents, and children about their experiences with cultural education in ECE. A sample size of 160 participants, including preschool teachers, parents, and children aged 4-6, was selected using purposive sampling. The case study was conducted in early childhood education centers in Osun State, Nigeria, known for its rich cultural heritage and efforts in cultural preservation. Findings indicated that ECE programs significantly improved children's understanding of their cultural roots and contributed to stronger identity formation. It was recommended that early childhood education centers integrate cultural education into their curricula and provide training for educators to effectively teach cultural preservation.
