ABSTRACT: This study Investigated the Benefits of Early Childhood Engineering Programs on Problem-Solving Skills. The objectives of this study were to: (1) evaluate the impact of early childhood engineering programs on developing problem-solving skills, (2) assess the role of hands-on engineering activities in enhancing critical thinking, and (3) determine the long-term benefits of early engineering education on academic performance. A survey design was chosen for this research to collect detailed data from educators, parents, and children about their experiences with engineering activities in early childhood education (ECE). A sample size of 160 participants, including preschool teachers, parents, and children aged 4-6, was selected through purposive sampling. The case study was conducted in early childhood education centers in Ogun State, Nigeria, known for its emphasis on STEM education. Findings indicated that early childhood engineering programs significantly improved problem-solving skills and critical thinking, with long-term benefits on academic performance. It was recommended that early childhood education centers integrate engineering activities into their curricula and provide training for educators to effectively facilitate problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
