ABSTRACT: This study examined the Effects of Early Childhood Education on Resolving Conflict and Negotiation Skills. The objectives of this study were to: (1) evaluate the role of early childhood education (ECE) in developing conflict resolution skills in young children, (2) assess the impact of structured play on negotiation abilities, and (3) determine the long-term benefits of early conflict resolution training on social relationships. A survey design was justified for this research due to its ability to collect comprehensive data from a diverse group of educators, parents, and children, providing a broad perspective on the impact of ECE programs on conflict resolution skills. A sample size of 170 participants, including preschool teachers, parents, and children aged 4-6, was selected through purposive sampling. The case study was conducted in early childhood education centers in Rivers State, Nigeria, given its diverse population and focus on peace education. Findings revealed that ECE programs significantly enhanced children's conflict resolution and negotiation skills, leading to improved social relationships and reduced incidences of conflict. It was recommended that early childhood education centers integrate conflict resolution activities into their curricula and provide training for educators to effectively teach these skills.
