ABSTRACT: This study Assessed the Impact of Early Childhood Education on Decision-Making Skills. The objectives of this study were to: (1) evaluate the role of early childhood education (ECE) in developing decision-making skills in young children, (2) assess the influence of structured play and learning activities on critical thinking, and (3) determine the long-term benefits of early decision-making practice on academic and social outcomes. A survey design was utilized to gather comprehensive data from educators, parents, and children, allowing for a thorough analysis of the developmental impact of ECE programs. A sample size of 180 participants, including preschool teachers, parents, and children aged 4-6, was selected through purposive sampling. The case study was conducted in early childhood education centers in Kaduna State, Nigeria, given its diverse educational initiatives and active involvement in child development programs. Findings revealed that early childhood education significantly enhanced children's decision-making skills and critical thinking abilities, leading to improved academic performance and better social interactions. It was recommended that ECE programs incorporate decision-making activities into their curricula and provide training for educators to support the development of these essential skills.
