ABSTRACT: This research Explored the Role of Early Childhood Education in Promoting Sustainable Development Goals. The objectives of this study were to: (1) evaluate the effectiveness of early childhood education (ECE) in instilling knowledge about Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among young learners, (2) assess the impact of ECE programs on children's attitudes towards sustainability, and (3) determine the long-term benefits of integrating SDGs into ECE curricula. A survey design was justified for this research due to its ability to collect comprehensive data from a diverse group of educators, parents, and children, providing a broad perspective on the implementation and impact of SDG-focused education. A sample size of 200 participants, including preschool teachers, parents, and children aged 4-6, was selected using the purposive sampling technique. The case study was conducted in various early childhood education centers in Lagos State, Nigeria, given its diverse population and extensive network of educational institutions. Findings revealed that early childhood education significantly improved children's understanding of sustainability concepts and positively influenced their attitudes towards environmental and social responsibility. Long-term benefits included a heightened awareness of global issues and a stronger commitment to sustainable practices. It was recommended that early childhood education centers incorporate SDG-related content into their curricula and provide ongoing training for educators to effectively teach these concepts.
