ABSTRACT: This research investigated the impact of early childhood education on later financial literacy. The objectives were to: (1) evaluate the influence of early education on understanding financial concepts, (2) assess the role of early financial education in promoting financial responsibility, and (3) determine the long-term benefits of early education on financial literacy. A survey design was employed to gather data from educators, parents, and young adults about their early educational experiences and financial literacy. A sample size of 160 participants was selected using purposive sampling. The case study focused on early childhood education centers in Lagos State, Nigeria. Findings revealed that early childhood education significantly influenced understanding of financial concepts, promoted financial responsibility, and enhanced financial literacy in the long term. It was recommended that early childhood education programs incorporate financial education into their curricula and provide training for educators to support the development of financial literacy in young children.
