ABSTRACT: This study examined the impact of early childhood education on physical fitness levels. The objectives were to: (1) evaluate the role of physical activities in early childhood programs on fitness, (2) assess the effectiveness of structured physical education in developing motor skills, and (3) determine the long-term benefits of early physical education on health. A survey design was chosen to collect data from educators and parents about children's participation in physical activities and fitness levels. A sample size of 140 preschool educators and parents was selected through purposive sampling. The case study was conducted in early childhood education centers in Kwara State, Nigeria. Findings indicated that physical activities in early childhood programs significantly improved fitness levels and developed motor skills. Structured physical education was found to have long-term benefits on children's health. It was recommended that early childhood education programs include regular physical activities and that educators receive training in physical education to promote children's physical fitness.
