ABSTRACT: This study assessed the effectiveness of early childhood intervention programs for language development. The objectives were to: (1) evaluate the impact of targeted language interventions on vocabulary acquisition, (2) assess the role of early intervention in improving communication skills, and (3) determine the long-term benefits of language intervention programs on academic performance. A survey design was chosen to collect data from educators and parents about their observations and experiences with language intervention programs. A sample size of 150 preschool educators and parents was selected through purposive sampling. The case study was conducted in early childhood education centers in Kaduna State, Nigeria. Findings revealed that targeted language interventions significantly improved vocabulary acquisition and communication skills in young children. Early intervention programs were found to have long-term benefits on academic performance, with children demonstrating better language skills and higher academic achievements. It was recommended that early childhood education programs include targeted language interventions and that educators receive specialized training to effectively implement these programs.
