ABSTRACT: This study investigated the influence of early childhood education on creative problem-solving skills. The objectives were to: (1) evaluate the impact of structured play on creative thinking, (2) assess the role of early childhood educators in fostering problem-solving abilities, and (3) determine the effectiveness of creative activities in enhancing cognitive flexibility. A survey design was chosen to collect extensive data from educators and parents, providing a broad understanding of the relationship between early education and problem-solving skills. A sample size of 150 preschool educators and parents was selected through purposive sampling to ensure participants had relevant experience. The case study was conducted in early childhood education centers in Lagos State, Nigeria. Findings indicated that structured play and creative activities significantly enhanced children's problem-solving skills and cognitive flexibility. Educators played a crucial role in fostering these abilities through interactive and imaginative activities. It was recommended that early childhood education curricula incorporate diverse creative activities to promote problem-solving skills and that educators receive ongoing training in creative teaching methods.
